We are Robin and Jim Geppert, owners of Locksley Scottish Terriers, a small, select Scottie Kennel dedicated to, and in love with the breed.
The first sound I (Robin) heard as a child was a barking dog. My parents, Allen and Jan Stark raised and bred show dogs (Miniature Schnauzers.) In my youth, if I wasn't at home playing with the puppies, I was traveling to dog shows, watching, working and junior handling.
But I loved the Scots! Shasta (1981-1994) was my first, and just a wonderful companion. Then in 2006, Jim and I moved into a home with a fenced yard.... immediately, I searched for and found our 1st Scottie, Pepper. We started taking her to local shows and got hooked. Jim (a former "cat" person) remarked "I can't believe how cool these dogs are!"
Our Scotties are home-raised and well socialized. In good weather, we can often be found patio-dining with one, or more of our well mannered Scotties!
We are particular about each litter & attentive to each puppy we breed. Our AKC Registered Scottish Terriers are owner-handled to their Championships.
We work closely with Charthill and Co. It is a passionate journey which we enjoy, respect and appreciate.
